Finland’s CPI Rebounds in July, Snapping Brief Deflationary Streak

Finland’s consumer price index (CPI) moved back into positive territory in July 2026, rising 0.20% month-over-month after a 0.20% decline in June, according to data updated on 14 August 2026. The shift marks a clear rebound from the brief deflationary reading recorded in June.

On a month-over-month basis, the July figure represents a 0.40 percentage point swing from the previous month’s -0.20% change. In line with the comparison methodology, the current indicator reflects the change in prices from July to June, while the previous indicator captured the change from June to May.

The turnaround suggests that price pressures in Finland have stabilized somewhat after June’s dip, with the latest reading indicating a modest but positive monthly inflation dynamic heading into late summer 2026.
