Poland’s Core CPI Edges Up to 3.1% YoY in July, Marking First Rise in Months

Poland’s core consumer price index (CPI) inched higher to 3.1% year-over-year in July 2026, up from 3.0% in June 2026, according to data updated on 14 August 2026. The latest reading reflects the annual change in prices excluding volatile components, compared with the same month a year earlier.

The July uptick represents a modest acceleration in underlying inflation pressures after stability in June. On a year-over-year basis, June’s 3.0% core CPI was also measured against June of the previous year, while July’s 3.1% reading is compared with July a year earlier, in line with the standard annual comparison methodology.

Although the increase is small, the move from 3.0% to 3.1% will be closely watched by market participants and policymakers as they assess whether underlying price dynamics in Poland are stabilizing or beginning to firm again after recent moderation in inflation.
