UAE M3 Growth Eases to 14.3% in June, Signaling Gradual Liquidity Slowdown

The United Arab Emirates’ broad money supply (M3) growth moderated in June 2026, with the year-over-year rate easing to 14.30%, down from 15.10% in May 2026. The data, updated on 14 August 2026, reflects a comparison of June 2026’s money supply with the same month a year earlier, while the previous figure measured May 2026 against May of the prior year.

The deceleration in M3 growth suggests a gradual cooling in the pace at which liquidity is expanding within the UAE financial system. While still indicative of robust money supply growth, the step down from May points to a slightly tighter monetary backdrop or slower expansion in bank deposits and other broad liquidity components over the period.

Market participants will be watching subsequent releases to determine whether June’s softer reading marks the start of a broader trend of moderation in money supply growth or a temporary adjustment after several months of elevated expansion. For now, the UAE continues to exhibit strong, albeit slightly slowing, year-on-year liquidity growth.
