European Stocks Head for Higher Open

European equity markets were poised for a higher open on Tuesday as risk appetite improved and the recent global selloff in technology stocks showed signs of stabilizing. Attention turned to Nvidia’s upcoming earnings report later this week, which is expected to offer fresh insight into the strength of AI-related demand. Investors also continued to evaluate the impact of the US Treasury Department’s expanded debt buyback program, following reports that it may draw on its nearly $1 trillion General Account to finance the purchases rather than relying solely on new issuance.

In Europe, the focus will be on Germany’s final Q2 GDP data and the August Ifo Business Climate survey, as well as French consumer confidence figures. No major corporate earnings are scheduled for release in Europe on Tuesday. In premarket trading, Euro Stoxx 50 futures were up 0.3%, while Stoxx 600 futures gained 0.2%.
