FX.co ★ Poland Jobless Rate Steady at 5.8%

Poland’s registered unemployment rate held at 5.8% in July 2026, matching market expectations and unchanged from June. Despite the steady rate, it remained the lowest level since December 2025. The number of unemployed fell by 4.9 thousand over the month to 906.4 thousand, with women accounting for 49.6% of the total. Most jobseekers were not eligible for unemployment benefits, representing 87% of all unemployed. Meanwhile, 4.5% were out of work due to company-related layoffs, and recent graduates made up 1.8%. There were 373.2 thousand long-term unemployed, defined as those jobless for more than a year. On a yearly basis, the unemployment rate was 0.4 percentage points higher than in July 2025, when it stood at 5.4%. At the same time, reported job vacancies at the end of July rose by 3.5 thousand to 46.6 thousand.
