European Stocks Set for Positive Open

European equity markets were poised to open higher on Thursday, supported by improved risk appetite after Nvidia issued a strong sales outlook that bolstered sentiment toward artificial intelligence and the broader technology sector. Nonetheless, caution prevailed among traders as stronger-than-expected US inflation data reinforced expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike before the end of the year.

In Europe, investors will focus on German consumer confidence data as well as French producer price and unemployment figures, alongside updated Eurozone credit activity indicators. Market participants will also scrutinize the ECB’s Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts for further guidance on the region’s interest-rate trajectory.

In corporate news, French spirits group Pernod Ricard said it expects sales growth to track toward the lower end of its forecast range over the coming years, citing persistent weakness in its key US market. In premarket trading, Euro Stoxx 50 futures rose 0.3%.
