FX.co ★ Swiss Non-Farm Payrolls Rise 2% in Q2

Switzerland’s non-farm payrolls rose by 2.0% year-on-year to 5.698 million in Q2 2026, up from a 0.5% increase in the previous quarter. This corresponds to a gain of 111,800 jobs, driven primarily by the services sector, where employment grew 2.2% to 4.550 million.

The strongest increases within services were recorded in health and social work activities (up 2.2% to 895,000), professional, scientific and technical activities (up 1.6% to 525,000), education (up 1.7% to 434,000), and administrative and support service activities (up 10.5% to 433,000).

Employment in industry and construction also expanded, rising 1.2% to 1.148 million. Within this segment, manufacturing employment increased 0.7% to 695,000, while construction employment grew 1.9% to 387,000.
