Most sectors traded in positive territory, led by automakers, with BMW (1.9%), Volkswagen (1.4%) and Mercedes-Benz Group (1.3%) among the top performers. Chemical companies, utilities, industrials and technology stocks also advanced strongly, with shares of RWE, Brenntag, BASF and MTU Aero Engines climbing as much as 1.9%.
