FX.co ★ Azerbaijan Consumer Prices Rebound in August

Consumer prices in Azerbaijan increased by 0.2% month-on-month in August 2026, rebounding from a 0.1% decline in July. The upturn was mainly driven by food prices, which rose 0.3% after falling 0.4% in the previous month, with notable increases in meat and fish products. Non-food prices also edged up (0.1% vs 0% in July), as higher prices for wallpaper, bricks, plasterboard, electrical equipment, personal hygiene products and jewelry more than offset lower prices for summer clothing, detergents and cleaning products, personal computers and tablets. Meanwhile, service inflation remained unchanged at 0.2%, supported by higher prices for leisure tours and international passenger air transport. On a yearly basis, consumer prices advanced 5.7% in August, slightly easing from a 5.8% increase in the prior month.
