Denmark’s manufacturing confidence indicator rose to 100.5 in September 2026 from 97.9 in August, moving above the long‑term average of 100 for the first time since April. This was the highest level in five months, driven by stronger production expectations, which increased to 15 from 13, and an improvement in employment prospects, which turned positive, rising to 5 from -9.

More broadly, the composite business confidence indicator, which encompasses manufacturing, construction, retail, and services, climbed to 107.1 from 106.6. Confidence in the construction sector strengthened to 101.6 from 100.4, while retail confidence jumped 3.5 points to 114.8. By contrast, confidence in the services sector eased, slipping to 107.3 from 108.8.
