FX.co ★ Argentina Retail Sales Growth Accelerates

Argentina’s retail sales climbed 23% year-on-year to ARS 707.8 billion in July 2026, quickening from a 13.4% increase in June. The strongest growth was recorded in furniture, home décor, and household textiles, up 51.7%, followed by sportswear and accessories (46.3%), entertainment and leisure (45.1%), food courts, food outlets, and kiosks (29.3%), and bookstores and stationery (24.3%). By region, sales rose 26% in Buenos Aires and 23.9% across the 24 districts of Greater Buenos Aires. In the Pampean Region, sales increased 17.6%, while the Cuyo Region posted a 17% gain. Sales in the Northern and Patagonia regions advanced 22.9% and 30.8%, respectively.
