FX.co ★ Croatia Current Account Deficit Narrows Slightly in Q2

Croatia’s current account deficit narrowed slightly to EUR 1,890 million in the second quarter of 2026, compared with EUR 1,902 million in the same quarter of the previous year. The services account surplus rose to EUR 3,403 million from EUR 3,352 million, while the primary income deficit decreased to EUR 844 million from EUR 1,003 million. The secondary income surplus also inched up, reaching EUR 1,194 million versus EUR 1,179 million a year earlier. In contrast, the goods account deficit widened to EUR 5,642 million in the second quarter of 2026, from EUR 5,430 million in the corresponding period of 2025. Over the first half of 2026 as a whole, Croatia recorded a current account deficit of EUR 5,509 million, up from EUR 5,375 million in the first half of 2025.
