FX.co ★ Mexico Manufacturing Confidence Stalls at 48 Points

Mexico’s manufacturing business confidence held steady at 48 points in September 2026, remaining below the 50-point threshold for the 18th consecutive month. The monthly result reflected no change in firms’ assessment of the country’s current economic situation, which stayed at 47.8 points, nor in their view of whether the current period is favorable for investment, which remained at 34.3 points.

By contrast, firms’ evaluation of their own companies’ current economic situation weakened slightly, slipping 0.2 point to 50.1, while their expectations for their companies’ future economic situation declined 0.5 point to 55.4. On the other hand, businesses’ expectations for the country’s future economic situation improved modestly, rising 0.3 point to 52.2.
