Producer prices in Lithuania surged 17.5% year-on-year in September 2026, accelerating from a three-year high of 13.6% in August and reaching their highest level since January 2023.
By sector, cost pressures remained pronounced in manufacturing, where producer prices rose 13.7% year-on-year, following a 17.3% increase in August. The overall manufacturing upturn was driven largely by a sharp acceleration in prices for coke and refined petroleum products, which climbed 83.9% compared with 67.1% in the previous month.
Price growth also strengthened across several other sectors: mining and quarrying (6.0% vs. 3.8% in August), electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (17.9% vs. 11.2%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (7.0% vs. 5.3%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 3.5% in September, after a 1.2% increase in the preceding month.
