Oman’s Inflation Eases Slightly in September as CPI Growth Slows to 3.2%

Oman’s annual inflation rate edged down in September, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 3.2% year-over-year, compared with a 3.4% increase recorded previously. Both readings relate to September 2026 data, updated on 13 October 2026.

The figures indicate a modest easing in price pressures in the Sultanate when measured against the same month a year earlier. The current 3.2% “actual” pace reflects the change in prices in September versus September a year ago, while the prior 3.4% figure captured the year-over-year change from the previous month’s comparison base.

The slight cooling in headline inflation suggests that, although consumer prices continue to rise on an annual basis, the momentum of those increases has slowed marginally as Oman progresses through the second half of 2026.
