    On April 14, a powerful 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit the Kumamoto Prefecture, the Kyushu island, Japan. At least nine people were killed and around 800 residents were injured.

    Scientists report that there were 7-magnitude quakes in some spots. The earthquake started at a depth of 10km in the Kumamoto Prefecture.
