FX.co ★ Train crash in Italy

On July 12th, two trains on a single-track line collided head-on in Southern Italy. The accident took place at 11:30 local time between two towns of Corato and Andria, close to Bari. According to initial reports, at least ten people were killed and a dozen injured. But later, La Republica newspaper reported that twenty people died in the crash.

About one dozen people were injured in the accident.

Ambulance staff, firefighters, and rescuers are working at the scene of the accident.

Train operations on this railway line were halted because of the crash.
