Europe's stock exchanges show positive dynamic

Early today, European stock markets showed positive dynamic. The main stock indices rose significantly, whereas German DAX failed to reach its new high.

Such a positive reaction of most market participants was caused by several factors. First of all, it is a mass vaccination program against the coronavirus infection. Of course, there were a lot of problems and delays. However, at the moment, most of these troubles are in the past. Secondly, the extended program of financial support in the US also boosts investors' sentiment. The package is likely to be adopted in the near future.

In the morning, STOXX Europe 600, the general index of large enterprises of the European region, advanced by 0.8% to a new level of 417.31 points. Companies in the mining sector became the leaders among all industries.

The UK FTSE 100 index rose by 1.41%. Germany's DAX index increased by 0.3%. France's CAC 40 index was up by 1.07%. Italy's FTSE MIB index jumped by 0.99%. Spain's IBEX 35 index gained 1.5% and became the leader of this morning's growth.

According to the UK statistical data, more than 15 million people were initially vaccinated against the coronavirus infection. At the same time, the authorities note that this is a great progress, which will eventually have a positive impact on the fight against the infection in the state.

In addition, the first batches of the vaccine were delivered to Australia and New Zealand, so vaccination will begin very soon. Notably, these countries are going to use medicines developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.

Meanwhile, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in the world has already exceeded 108 million 812 thousand. At the same time, the number of deaths is above 2 million 399 thousand. It is worth noting that over the last 24 hours, this indicator has increased significantly. The total number of recovered people is 80 million.

According to the recent data, the finance ministers of the European region are going to hold a meeting to tackle the issue of the European economic revival from the consequences of the virus-induced crisis.
