Trading Signals for BITCOIN on October 14-16, 2026: sell below $83,900 or buy amid rebound to $82,000 (200 EMA - 6/8 Murray)

Bitcoin is trading around $83,716. During the European session, it has attempted to break through the strong resistance level of the downtrend channel that has been forming since October 8, but on several occasions, it has failed to break above $84,000.

During the U.S. trading session, U.S. inflation data will be released. If the data is positive, we could expect a sharp downward move toward the 200 EMA at $82,076, or it could even reach the 6/8 Murray level around $81,250.

A sharp drop in Bitcoin below $83,900 could signal a sell-off with targets at $82,000 and $81,250.

Conversely, if the U.S. data is negative, we could expect Bitcoin to recover, potentially reaching the strong resistance level at the upper band of the main downtrend channel around $85,500. This zone could present strong resistance to BTC and could also be considered an opportunity to sell in the coming days.

Given that the Eagle indicator is showing positive signals, a drop toward $82,000 or $81,250 could be considered a signal to buy Bitcoin in anticipation of it reaching $85,500 in the coming days.

We should keep an eye on how the price of BTC evolves over the next few hours. If it falls below the 200 EMA, Bitcoin's outlook could change, and it could reach the lower band of the downtrend channel around $79,200 or even hit the 5/8 Murray level around $78,125.
