Donald Trump accuses US oil companies of ‘making too much money’

According to US President Donald Trump, the largest American oil corporations are reaping excessive profits amid rising energy prices. Speaking to reporters at the White House, the president expressed his dissatisfaction with the high earnings of energy giants, specifically mentioning Chevron and ExxonMobil. Trump believes these corporations are "making too much money" from a market shortage and should lower fuel prices at gas stations for ordinary Americans.

The American leader also predicted a sharp decline in commodity prices following the resolution of the geopolitical crisis surrounding Iran. "When we're finished with Iran, you're going to see oil prices drop through the floor," Trump emphasized, urging companies not to delay in reducing retail prices.

The White House's statements come against the backdrop of renewed increases in gasoline prices in the United States. In early July, the average price of Regular gasoline rose from $3.79 to $3.84 per gallon (3.79 liters), while the cost of diesel fuel increased by 4 cents to $4.81 per gallon.
