80% Catalans support province independence

More than 2 million of the Catalans voted for the province separation from Spain, during referendum that was invalidated by the Constitutional Court of Spain. Regarding possible independence of Catalonia, it put even more pressure on Mariano Rajoy, the Prime Minister of Spain.
It should be mentioned, that referendum invalidated by Madrid did take place. According to the counting results of 88.44% of ballots, 80.72% of respondents (1,649,239 people) support Catalonia's independence. It is the exact number of people who answered positively two main questions in the ballot: "Do you want Catalonia to become a state?" and if positive: "Do you want this state to be independent?"
In total, 2.25 million of the Catalans participated in the poll-referendum. Only 10.11% of them (206,599 people) declared for the state of Catalonia but opposed its independence. Another 4.55% of voters (92,939 people) were against autonomous community Catalonia becoming a separate state.
