The question of reasonability of the single European currency usage has become a cause for controversy among politicians. Recently, the number of public statements of far-right parties’ representatives from different countries of the eurozone has increased. In those statements, the representatives call for the euro cancellation. Supporters of the currency unit abolition call on governments demanding to return the use of national currencies. According to activists, it will allow any government to regain control of their own economy independently as well as to reduce the impact of the EU on the internal financial affairs. In France, the idea of recapture to the old system of cash payments was supported by Marine Le Pen, the head of the Front National party. "Our country must regain the national currency in everyday life as well as 95% of the world's countries. Now more than ten thousand enterprises become bankrupt due to the euro," Marine Le Pen said to political supporters. Georgia Meloni, the president of the political movement Brothers of Italy, adheres to the similar point of view. She notes that her country's membership in the EU and the use of the euro do not help to solve the economic problems in Italy.
