United Kingdom to leave EU?

Another trouble is brewing in the European Union. Economic difficulties of the region enhanced the doubts of some EU member countries relative to the union's perspectives. Over the last few month Great Britain has been discussing openly its possible exit from the EU and considering further scenarios. While Herman Van Rompuy still was the president of the European Council, he said that in case of the UK's leave, the European Union would continue its existence; but if France followed Britain's example, this format of relations would come to an end. The politician compared the possible loss of London with an amputation – not a lethal one, however, all the efforts should be made to avoid it. Nevertheless, Rompuy is sure about the end of a unified European space despite France's participation. Taking into consideration the importance of such decision, the British citizens for whom the EU membership comes at a price should settle the question of the exit on their own. It is noteworthy that due to some budget problems of the EU the British taxpayers have to pay extra 34 billion pounds over 6 years. In addition, the European union tried to make the United Kingdom chip extra 1.7 billion pounds in the common coffers due to the high economic rate of the state. All in all, there are more advantages than disadvantages of the exit. In London they say about a referendum in 2017 during which the membership in the EU will be determined.
