Spanish unemployment at lowest level

Spain’s unemployment has fallen at its fastest pace, with the number of people unemployed falling to the lowest level since August 2010. The number of people out of work totaled less than 4 million.
The number of registered employed rose to its highest level since records began. Nearly 120,000 fewer people signed on as jobless in May, down 3% from April.
According to the source, the rise in job creation was due to seasonal factors. The biggest increase was seen in the tourism sector as the industry actively hires people in summer.
In the first quarter, Spain’s overall jobless rate was at 21%, the highest in the European Union.
