
According to The Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth II is looking for someone to help her manage her money. Buckingham Palace has advertised for a Privy Purse Accounts Manager on a salary of up to £55,000 a year (about $88,000).
The post is being advertised on the Royal Household website and the Palace said successful applicants will have to be able to “accurately deliver accounts, oversee production of cash flow forecasts, manage preparations of re-forecasts and budgets, control all financial transactions, sign off balance sheets and deal with taxation”. They will also need to be able to “lead, motivate and inspire” the team on the whole and have “the ability to think logically and objectively”.
There is the post of the Keeper of the Privy Purse and Royal Finances in the Privy Purse. Sir Alan Reid has been in the office since 2002.
According to the data provided by Forbes in April 2011, Elizabeth II has an estimated personal net worth of $500 million that comes chiefly from property holdings.
