FX.co ★ Bank of Russia issues coins dedicated to 2018 FIFA World Cup

Great news for football fans! This phrase heard on the Russian TV will be more likely linked to a potato chips or beer ad than to the Russian football team.

This time it was a bit different piece of news. The Central Bank of Russia issued a series of coins to commemorate the 2018 FIFA World Cup that will be hosted in Russia. The Bank put into circulation four silver 3-ruble coins and one base metal coin in the denomination of 25 rubles. The coins are presented as a payment means and as a souvenir.

The images engraved on the four silver coins depict landmarks of the cities that will host World Cup games. The non-precious metal coin features the image of the FIFA trophy.
