According to the official Syrian information agency SANA, rebel forces set three oil wells in eastern Deir Ezzor province on fire. The greater part of the province is currently under the control of rebels, the authorities inform.
As SANA has it, the arson is a consequence of the armed conflict between the rebel groups over oil sharing. Furat Petroleum Corporation, the largest oil producer in Syria, is currently doing its best to extinguish the fire.
Sana also said that there are six more oil wells put ablaze, however the locations and details of these arsons are unknown.
