Apple and Google again most valuable brands

Interbrand Corp. keeps a rating of 100 world’s leading brands that is updated on a yearly basis. In 2017, US giants like Apple and Google have secured the reputation of the most valuable brands in the world for the fifth straight year. Microsoft is ranked third as its brand’s value is estimated at almost $80 billion.


Apple is valued much higher at $184 billion that is 3% up from 2016. Google’s value equals $142 billion that is 6% higher than the score of the previous year.


This year, seven hi-tech companies are presented in the top 10 global brands. Amazon takes the fifth place ($64.8 billion), Samsung is the sixth on the list ($56.2 billion), Facebook is ranked eighth ($48.2 billion), and IBM is the tenth most valuable brand ($46.8 billion).


Apart from technology leaders, the top 10 includes two premium car brands, Toyota and Mercedes. They are placed at the seventh and ninth positions. These brands are valued at $50.3 billion and $47.8 billion, respectively.
