Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has topped the Sunday Times Rich List of British musicians with the 680 million pounds (about $1 billion) he shares with his wife.
Ex-Beatle has been the richest artists for 24 times. He has topped each list since 1989 when he was worth an estimated 80 million pounds.
British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber was second, with 620 million pounds ($950 million).
Irish rock band U2 were third, with 520 million pounds (more than $300 million).
