Don't worry, be Russian

For the second week in a row the Russians have been pressed by the forecasts, which suggest the Russian ruble decline. However, it is hard to intimidate the Russians, especially if they are confident about the stability of their national currency and do not believe any predictions. According to a survey held by SuperJob.ru, there is neither panic nor even worry among Russia's population. Even the employees of exchange offices and banks are showing no concern at all. The number of the Russian citizens who consider the ruble as the most strong currency has not changed for the last year.
In 2013, about 36% of economically active population rely on the ruble. Only 15% of respondents prefer the U.S. dollar and the euro. Moreover, 14% of Russians chose to invest their money in exotic currencies, precious metals, jewelery, real estate, and assets. Besides, they keep money in banks or try to exchange it for several currencies simultaneously. After the crisis, the consumer confidence in the ruble decreased by 7%, so to date, only 1 Russian Federation's resident out of 3 is keeping the savings in the national currency. In 2009 this ratio was rather high, 1 out of 2. In the nearest future this amount is seen to contract. Currently, the economists are expecting the Russian ruble to trade at 35 against the dollar and 46 against the euro.
