Borsa Italiana closed owing to a technical failure

The Burse in Milano which forms a part of London Stock Exchange was closed on February 22 due to technical failure in the DDMPlus system.
This information was posted by the Financial Times and Italian Reuters officials in their Twitter microblogs. Yet, no data on the failure in English has been published on the Borsa Italiana website so far.
It is still unclear what exactly occurred on the burse and when trading will be restored.
At 01:50 p.m. (GMT+3) the Financial Times left a post on its website, saying that trading is being conducted, not with the DDMPlus system though. So, brokers and banks are recommended to merely switch to any other system, apart from DDMPlus.
It is worth reminding, that a day before Italian stock indices had fallen by more than 3% and this is one of the worst values across the entire Europe. This had been driven by demonstrations in Libya which has plenty of Italian companies. Besides, Italy relies heavily on Libyan supplies.
