One of the most interesting, expensive, and creative types of advertisement can come back to the Russian TV screens. Invaluable world's experience of advertising may hold the local developers of commercials. Internet and other mass media are going to be full of promotional material concerning sparkling and other kinds of wine made only by Russian vineyards. The Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation (Rosalkogolregulirovanie) and the Federal Antimonopoly Service are going to introduce the bill that will propose the corresponding amendments to the Law On Advertising. Besides, it will affect products made by the Russian Federation producers. All the changes are supposed to come into force by 2015. The main reason why these privileges will be given particularly to the local winegrowers is quite obvious – to increase their competitiveness on the domestic market. According to President of the Union of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia Leonid Popovich, this measure may be effective only for the fifth part of all the enterprises due to the fact that major facilities have been already working with the foreign primary products. One of the bill developers Dmitry Otryaskin thinks that popularization of wine made from natural national grapes may contribute to reduction of alcohol consumption in the country. The most thriving advertising agencies have been already developing a new image of the Russian winegrowers and winemakers. “We need to support the national producers by boosting and promoting our winegrowers' and winemakers' products” added Otryaskin.
