Government charity or the whole salary to people

Head of Russia’s government Dmitry Medvedev displayed by personal example how to pull his fair weight into the public misfortune. Applying to the vast experience of similar campaigns, like his American counterparts, he contributed his monthly salary to the relief fund for those who suffered from the deluge in the Far East and the Amur region. Apparently in the voluntary – compulsory fashion, 35 officials from organization departments of federal, regional ministries and ones under a district’s jurisdiction from various parts of Russia followed the ex-president’s effort. The subordinated agency reported that “Government’s Chairman Dmitry Medvedev donated his monthly income to people who have suffered from the disaster. Free-will donations were also delivered by the RF Government officials and Russia’s Presidential Administration staffers.” The total cash receipt by the relief fund runs at RUB 18.5 million, 2 million of which accounts for the civil servants’ salaries. It is worth reminding that the severe flood that burst out in early August in Primorski Krai has been going on for several weeks. According to the most recent data, the water level in the Amur river near the town of Komsomolsk-on-Amur has reached 835 centimeters, the water surface has been rising by 15 centimeters daily. The most part of the housing stock in the area has been harmed. The residents from the flooded regions have been evacuated and accommodated at safe places. Injured or aggrieved people are provided with everything they need.
