Majority of people express confidence in digital currencies

According to a recent survey on crypto assets conducted by The Economist, the general public puts trust in Central Bank issued digital assets. Most citizens are showing a keen interest in this innovative industry. Some even try to become a part of it as they are sure cryptocurrencies are the future.


The survey revealed that about 26% of respondents show trust in virtual currencies while 85% of survey participants are aware of the cryptocurrencies or have already used them. Moreover, 65% of the people have heard about the digital assets of technology companies, 55% are familiar with the Central Bank cryptocurrencies (CBDC). Finally, another 55% of the surveyed people are well acquainted with the digital assets of financial companies.

On the other hand, 38% of those surveyed consider cryptocurrencies an unreliable means of payment, and only 26% express trust in digital assets. 54% of respondents believe that a token issued by the Central bank (CBDC) is a secure means of payment. Notwithstanding, the survey unveiled that the lion's share of the people trust the virtual currencies.


Analysts also stress that people with higher education are more inclined to use cryptocurrencies.
