President of the Russian Education Foundation Sergey Komkov, being a little known figure previously, made a decision to increase his popularity. He chose the only proper way to do it; if you want to be famous, use a more advertised brand. Wishing to bask in the light of somebody else’s glory, Komkov sent a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee asking for Vladimir Putin to be nominated for a Peace Prize. And now, Komkov is a famous politician who suggested nominating the Russian President. Sergey subscribed in detail all the best qualities of the candidate, achievements in foreign affairs, his merits done for the Russian nation, and, of course, a very positive attitude towards animals, pets and little children. “Vladimir Putin has proved his adherence to the cause of peace. As the head of one of the leading countries of the world, he has made every effort to maintain peace and tranquility in his own state and has actively contributed to peaceful settlement of any conflicts arising on the planet,” Komkov said. Apparently, Komkov is not informed about what this prize is usually given for. The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the prestigious international awards and is bestowed for notable research activities, revolutionary inventions, or an important contribution to the culture and social development. Now, the President of the Russian Education Foundation by himself has much chance to be a laureate of the Best Flattery Award 2014.
