Year to year they are vanishing. According to the recent researches, Russia can boast only 371 ruble billionaires. In a report, head of the Department of Property Tax and Personal Income at the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation Mikhail Sergeev noted that the number of people who fall under this category had declined by 12% compared to the last year. In 2012, their number soared by 20% to 472,959 people, the largest growth was observed in the group with the income from one to ten million rubles, their number grew by 21%. In total, Russia has 443,196 people who earned from one to ten million rubles. The number of people who earn from 100 to 500 million rubles decreased by 3,856, and those who make over 500 million rubles account for 528 at all. The Federal Tax Service does not mention the names but reminds that the list of prosperous Russians is regularly published by Forbes. In 2013, the magazine published 110 dollar billionaires in Russia. The ranking is headed by Alisher Usmanov, whose fortune amounts to 17.6 billion U.S. dollars.
