Nowadays, lots of investors find the source of analytical information in Elon Musk’s tweets. Indeed, his Twitter account has become a catalyst for financial markets. The high-tech genius has gained the most recognition among traders from the US.

According to the poll by Piplsay, 37% of American investors have bought assets using at least once Elon Musk’s tweets as guidance. 21% of traders have made twice investment decisions following his viewpoint. Besides, 16% of the pollees take “advice” from Tesla and SpaceX CEO on a regular basis. Interestingly, the account of Elon Musk on Twitter has outpaced in popularity and influence another active user of the social network. Ex-US President Donald Trump used to skillfully orchestrate financial markets during his term in office. All in all, the opinion poll has revealed that 64% of American investors check Musk’s account with 43% of them keeping close tabs on his tweets.

The poll by Piplsay has also discovered the attitude toward the billionaire. The overwhelming majority (82%) consider him positive. More than half of them (48%) view him as a genius. 22% think of Elon Musk as funny. 12% believe that he is crazy in the positive sense. Remarkably, 45% of the pollees admire his passion and devotion to his ideas and the lifetime project. At the same time, only 35% say that they disapprove of his arrogance.
