Billionaire George Soros decided to quit hedge fund and return overseas investors their money. This news is reported by Bloomberg with reference to its sources.
According to the media agency, later Soros will turn on managing his family’s assets. It is planned to pay back about a billion dollars to outside investors from the fund. The total volume of the fund’s assets is 25.5 billion dollars.
Letters sent to the investors by Soros’ suns, Jonathan and Robert, state that Keith Anderson, chief investment officer since 2008 is leaving. The authors expressed thanks to those who had invested in the fund during 40 years.
In March 2011 one of the most famous investors in the United States Carl Icahn also made a decision to return money to the investors. This decision was explained by unwillingness to risk investors’ capital due to unstable situation in the Middle East which could lead to a new crisis.
