Czech banks started providing its clients with the new service designed to make depositors’ lives easier. The local financial institutions together with Czech Post, the local postal service, now deliver money from clients’ accounts to their homes.
All-comers should make a call and submit a request for the money delivery, which is supposed to be done within 5 working days. The amount of money must not exceed 20,000 korunas (or about $1,000) though.
First two months deliveries are made for free. After that the customers will have to pay 65-95 korunas ($3-4.5). Czech bankers have no doubt such a service will come in handy for pensioners and residents of the remote villages, where are no banks and ATMs.
Neighboring Slovakia has been offering its citizens the money delivery service for ten years already.
