Taiwanese media say iPhone 6 to reach stores month earlier than expected

Apple is set to launch the new iPhone 6 a month earlier than expected – in August 2014, not in September as it was reported before, said Reuters, citing the Taiwanese media.
A 4.7-inch screen version of the smartphone will be available in August. A bigger 5.5-inch or 5.6-inch model is due to be released in September. 80 million of iPhone 6 handsets will be produced to be sold from September.
According to the Japanese agency Nikkei, Sharp, Japan Display, and LG Display will make screens for the new model. The increased iPhone's screen size would help Apple regain market share from competitors such as Samsung Electronics, offering its customers a wide range of diagonals.
Also on Friday, it was announced that Apple is going to buy the producer of headphones Beats. The Financial Times said the total deal value would be $3.2 billion.
