Dollar Appreciates Ahead Of U.S. Durable Goods Orders

U.S. durable goods orders for August are due at 8.30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback firmed against its major counterparts.

The greenback was worth 149.16 against the yen, 1.0545 against the euro, 1.2140 against the pound and 0.9183 against the franc as of 8:25 am ET.
