Pernod Ricard H1 Profit Declines; Organic Sales Down 3%

Pernod Ricard, in their first half report, unveiled a 12% reduction in the Group's share of net profit, settling at 1.57 billion euros. This downturn primarily emanates from a decrease in PRO and other one-time operating income, mostly propelled by the disposal of assets. The recurring operating net profit for the Group reported a 17% decline, amounting to 1.44 billion euros. Consequently, the net earnings per share from recurring operations slumped by 16%, residing at 5.68 euros.

The first half period also witnessed net sales falling by 7% to 6.59 billion euros against last year's results. The accurate decline in sales stood at 3% during this period.

Nonetheless, the Group demonstrates confidence in its medium-term financial framework, forecasting a top line growth of 4 to 7%. It appears determined to strive for the upper end of this range.
