Japan Capex Data On Tap For Monday

On Monday, Japan will release its Q4 data for capital expenditures and February's monetary base figures, indicators of moderate Asia-Pacific economic activity. The monetary base in January increased by 4.7 percent year-on-year, and capital expenditures grew annually by 3.4 percent in Q3.

New Zealand is set to publish its Q4 data for the terms of trade. Over the previous quarter, the terms of trade dropped by 0.6 percent, along with a 1.4 percent decrease in export prices and a 0.8 percent drop in import prices.

South Korea is expected to provide January data for industrial production and retail sales. In December, there was a monthly increase of 0.6 percent for industrial production and a yearly increase of 6.2 percent, while retail sales declined by 0.8 percent on a monthly basis.

Finally, Australia will report January figures for building approvals and Q4 data for company gross operating profits. In December, building approvals fell by 9.5 percent month-on-month and by 4.6 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, company profits in Q3 decreased by 1.3 percent from the previous quarter.
