Elon Musk Visits Tesla's Gigafactory In Germany

Elon Musk, founder of Tesla Inc., recently paid a visit to the Tesla Gigafactory near Berlin, where production had come to a standstill due to an arson attack. As he arrived at the Brandenburg factory, Musk generously acknowledged the assembled workers with a wave and an affectionate "I love you" in German, delivered from a stage in a tent where employees had gathered for his visit.

During his trip to Germany, Musk is also slated to engage in meetings with regional politicians. This comes in the wake of an incident last week that led to a temporary shutdown of the Gigafactory's production cycle. The disruption was caused by a suspected arson attack at a neighboring power substation, which set a nearby electricity pylon on fire. Fortunately, the blaze did not reach the Tesla facility itself.

Located southeast of Berlin in Gruenheide, the Tesla site employs about 12,500 people. Following the suspicious fire, the workplace was cleared and most of the workforce was sent home for their safety.

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by a left-wing extremist group, Vulkangruppe, via an online letter. They aimed their critique at Tesla's environmental practices. Local authorities continue to probe the incident.

Remarkably, Elon Musk was quoted on X reflecting on the attack: "These are either the dumbest eco-terrorists on Earth or they're puppets of those who don't have good environmental goals."
