FX.co ★ DoorDash To Expand Partnership With Wing In The U.S. To Integrate Drone Delivery

DoorDash, in collaboration with Wing, has initiated the roll out of its drone delivery service in Christiansburg, Virginia, offering certain local customers the opportunity to order from Wendy's via the DoorDash platform.

The venture evolved from DoorDash Labs, the robotics and automation sector of DoorDash. Wing, an Alphabet-owned subsidiary - the parent company of Google - specialises in drone delivery.

Reflecting on the initiative, Cosimo Leipold, Head of Partnerships at Wing, said: "Wing has now made over 350,000 deliveries across three countries. Our future focus is to provide a speedy, affordable, and secure service to our partners, thereby enhancing their capacity to serve their customers better."
