FX.co ★ WEX Extends Agreement With Shell To Manage Commercial Fleet Cards Portfolio Across North America

WEX Inc., a leading commercial platform, revealed on Tuesday that it has entered into a contract with Shell plc to oversee the latter's collection of commercial fleet cards across North America. This will provide customers with a comprehensive suite of features, services, and solutions tailored to meet the requirements of contemporary commercial fleets.

This partnership is an extension of previous agreements initiated in 2018, extending coverage to include the United States, Canada, and Mexico. WEX brings to the table its technological proficiency in fleet mobility, which when combined with Shell's strong brand reputation in North America, serves as a formidable operational advantage for fleets of all sizes, ranging from enterprise-level operators to small businesses.

WEX offers commercial mobility solutions to over 600,000 businesses within its Mobility segment. This translates to approximately 19.4 million commercial vehicles serviced worldwide as of the first quarter of 2024. Additionally, WEX offers co-branded services in partnership with Shell.

Shell's Fleet Card portfolio comprises the Shell Fleet Navigator Card, Shell Fleet Plus Card, and Shell Small Business Card (exclusive to the U.S.). These fleet cards offer businesses increased control, convenience, and security in managing employee expenditures and business processes. In the near future, the Shell Fleet Navigator Card is also set to offer payment solutions for electric vehicle charging, both at charging stations and for home charging in the U.S.
