The Switzerland stock market ended marginally higher on Friday after a volatile session, with investors mostly opting for cautious trades.
The Swiss Market Index (SMI), which remained in negative territory for much of the session until shortly after mid-afternoon, concluded the day with a modest rise of 13.51 points, or 0.11%, at 12,254.76.
Shares of Roche GS advanced approximately 1.9%. Sandoz Group increased by 1.67%, while SIG Group, Lindt & Sprüngli, Richemont, Swiss Re, Holcim, and Alcon recorded slight gains.
Conversely, Partners Group, Lonza Group, and Straumann Holding saw declines of 1.6%, 1.2%, and 1.06% respectively. Sika, Geberit, Swisscom, Swatch Group, and Swiss Life Holding improved by 0.5% to 1%.
Notably, Temenos Group shares surged 5.1%. Flughafen Zurich rose by 1.88%. ams OSRAM AG, Helvetia, and Baloise Holding also registered moderate gains.
