Finland's industrial production experienced a continued decline in April, albeit at a reduced rate compared to March, according to data released by Statistics Finland on Monday.
In April, industrial output decreased by 6.7 percent year-over-year, following a sharper contraction of 9.1 percent in the previous month.
Within the primary industries, output in the mining and quarrying sector saw an annual decrease of 1.2 percent in April, while the utility segment recorded a substantial increase of 8.6 percent. The data also indicated that manufacturing output registered a modest rise of 0.4 percent.
On a month-to-month basis, industrial production in April showed a slight recovery of 0.1 percent, contrasting with a significant decline of 4.8 percent in March.
