FX.co ★ Irish Defence Forces Selects Thales To Provide Software Defined Radio Systems

Thales (THLEF.PK) has announced the securing of a contract to equip all branches of the Irish Defence Forces with software-defined radio systems along with comprehensive support services. This agreement includes the initial deployment of over 3,500 SquadNet tactical radios and approximately 2,500 radios from the SYNAPS product line.

The SquadNet radio system is noted for its lightweight design, user-friendly interface, and 24-hour operational autonomy. It provides secure voice communication, location display capabilities, and data sharing options. Additionally, SquadNet facilitates battery recharging and radio programming functionalities.
