Romanian Producer Prices Rise 1.1% In June

Romania experienced an increase in producer prices for the first time in a year this June, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics on Friday.

The producer price index (PPI) saw a year-over-year rise of 1.1 percent in June, marking a turnaround from the 1.0 percent decline reported in May.

In the domestic market, prices grew by 0.9 percent annually in June, while prices in the foreign market saw a more substantial increase of 1.8 percent.

Examining specific industrial segments, capital goods prices experienced the highest annual increase of 5.6 percent in June. Non-durable consumer goods followed with a 3.5 percent gain. Conversely, energy goods prices fell by 0.6 percent.

On a month-to-month basis, producer prices climbed 1.3 percent in June.
